Why Magnesium Matters More Than You Think
Magnesium has become one of the most talked-about wellness supports lately, and for good reason.
It plays a role in hundreds of functions within the body, particularly around the nervous system, stress response, muscle relaxation, sleep, and recovery.
The problem is, modern life is incredibly demanding on our bodies.
Stress, poor sleep, busy schedules, hormonal shifts, exercise, caffeine, and constantly being “on” can all increase the body’s need for magnesium. For many people, depletion can show up as:
poor sleep
muscle tension or cramps
headaches
fatigue
anxiety or feeling “wired”
restless legs
difficulty relaxing
While magnesium isn’t a magic cure-all, it can be an incredibly supportive tool when it comes to helping the body slow down and regulate more effectively.
One of the brands I love stocking in my treatment room is Saltd. Their magnesium range feels simple, grounding, and easy to incorporate into everyday life, (plus Kate the owner is just fabulous!), whether that’s a magnesium soak at the end of a long day or creating a small evening ritual to help your body unwind.
Because sometimes wellbeing doesn’t need to be complicated.
Sometimes it starts with warm water, deep breaths, and giving your nervous system a chance to exhale.
