The Importance of Having Different Tools for Different Seasons
At The Soul Library, one of the things I value most is having a “library” of different modalities and offerings available, because healing, support, and wellbeing are rarely one-size-fits-all.
We are layered humans.
Physical
Emotional
Mental
Nervous-system tired
Sometimes all at once
And just like layers of an onion, different things can surface at different times in our lives. What supports you in one season may not be what you need in the next.
Sometimes the body needs deep rest and grounding through reflexology. Sometimes it needs gentle nervous system support with ear seeds. Sometimes magnesium, warmth, movement, counselling, massage, acupuncture, or simply being truly listened to become part of the picture.
I don’t believe there is one perfect modality, or one perfect practitioner that is meant to hold absolutely everything for someone.
I think there is real wisdom in recognising what support feels right for you in different seasons, and I will always encourage people to seek the care, tools, and practitioners that best meet their needs at the time.
To me, wellbeing is never about ownership or keeping people within one space. It’s about support. Community. Collaboration. Having access to the right care when you need it.
That’s why I’ve intentionally created a space that allows for variation, flexibility, and a range of supportive offerings, a library people can draw from as their needs evolve.
Because healing isn’t linear.
And neither are people.
