But What If I Cry in a Session With You?

It’s one of the questions people may quietly wonder before booking.

“What if I cry?”

The short answer? Then you cry. And that’s completely okay.

Sometimes people arrive carrying far more than physical tension. Beneath the headaches, sore shoulders, exhaustion, anxiety, or overwhelm, there can also be stress, grief, pressure, burnout, sadness, or simply the weight of holding everything together for too long.

And sometimes, when the body finally feels safe enough to soften… emotions rise too.

Tears in a session don’t mean something is “wrong.” They don’t mean you’re falling apart. And you never need to apologise for them. Crying can simply be a release. A nervous system exhale. A letting go. A moment where the body stops bracing.

Sometimes people know exactly why they’re emotional. Sometimes they don’t. Both are normal.

One of the things I value most in this work is creating a space where you don’t need to have it all together. You don’t need to explain yourself perfectly, hold back emotion, or worry about being “too much.” You are allowed to arrive exactly as you are.

Some sessions are deeply relaxing. Some are emotional. Some are quiet. Some involve laughter halfway through tears.

Healing isn’t always neat and tidy. But being witnessed with gentleness, without judgement or needing to perform, can be incredibly powerful.

So if you’re ever worried about crying in a session with me… Please know there is space for that too.

(Also, I own an industrial-level supply of tissues for a reason 🙂)
