How Often Should I Get Reflexology?

Finding your rhythm for deeper healing and balance

If you’ve experienced the grounding calm of a reflexology session, you probably know how good it can feel — lighter, clearer, calmer. But a common question I hear is: How often should I be having this done?

The truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The “right” frequency depends on your goals, your lifestyle, and how your body responds. That said, there are some general guidelines that can help you get the most from your reflexology journey.

First Things First: What Are You Needing Support With? Let’s break it down based on common goals:

1. Stress & General Wellbeing

If you’re looking to manage stress, maintain balance, or simply enjoy some regular “me time,” a session every 2–4 weeks is a great rhythm. It gives your body time to integrate the effects while keeping your nervous system calm and regulated.

2. Emotional Support (Anxiety, Grief, Burnout)

For deeper emotional healing or during particularly challenging life phases, weekly sessions (or fortnightly) can be incredibly supportive. Reflexology helps release tension, quiet the mind, and reconnect you to yourself when you’re feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.

3. Chronic Pain or Health Conditions

For specific issues like headaches, hormonal imbalance, digestive problems, or chronic pain, weekly or twice-weekly sessions may be recommended to begin with. This creates momentum and allows the body to respond more effectively to the treatment. Once symptoms ease, you can taper back to fortnightly or monthly for maintenance.

4. Seasonal or Immune Support

Some clients love to come in with the change of seasons — particularly at the start of autumn or spring — to help reset and align with the shift in energy. Reflexology supports detox, immunity, and nervous system balance during these times.

What’s Right for You?

At your first session, we’ll talk through your health history, lifestyle, and what’s going on for you right now — whether it’s physical, emotional, or a bit of both. Together, we’ll create a rhythm that feels realistic, supportive, and flexible as your needs change.

And remember: reflexology is gentle, non-invasive, and works with the body — not against it. The most important thing is that your sessions feel like a nourishing part of your self-care, not just another “should” on your to-do list.
