Hello Again: A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Jo, and I run The Soul Library.

I realised recently that while I’ve been sharing tips, reflections, and thoughts on stress, relaxation, and wellbeing, I haven’t really shared much about myself. So here’s a little reintroduction.

I’m a mum of three wonderful children, including one who just turned 18, which has me reflecting on time, growth, and the quiet lessons life teaches us along the way. Recently, I also got married to the most amazing man, who shows nothing but love and support every day. Between us, we have a busy, lively blended family with his three children and my three, and life has never felt more full or joyful.

I’ve always been a deeply emotional person and in tune with those around me. I love spending time with my family and friends and I love meeting new people and learning more about what makes people tick.

I’ve been drawn to how our emotions, experiences, and energy show up in our bodies, and that curiosity initially led me to reflexology. The Soul Library began as a place to create calm, a space where people can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with themselves (even for just an hour). My goal is to offer a safe little nest where people can be true to themselves, free of judgment or pressure.

This year I moved to a new treatment space, and it’s been wonderful to make it a cosy, welcoming environment where people feel cared for from the moment they arrive. Every detail, the warm blankets, calm atmosphere, and quiet space is designed to help you relax and just be.

I’m also always learning from new techniques like the EMK protocol to simply listening and observing what each person’s energy is telling me. Every session is unique, and every person teaches me something new about balance, patience, and presence.

So if you’ve stumbled across The Soul Library, or haven’t been by in a while, this is me saying hello again. My hope is that anyone who visits feels welcomed, seen, and leaves a little lighter than when they arrived.

And sometimes, if nothing else, it’s nice to take a moment for yourself, and who doesn’t enjoy a little bit of pampering now and then?
